Wasim Naqvi
Naqvi was born in 1987 to Muslim parents of Syed descent in Lahore, Pakistan. His father, Syed Karamat Ali Naqvi, is a police officer in the Punjab Police Department. According to Naqvi, his paternal grandfather was originally from Gujranwala. Growing up in Wahdat Colony, Allama Iqbaltown neighborhood, Naqvi attended the Government Pilot Secondary High School where he was accomplished in sports, drama and academics. He won the Sword of Honour, an annual award given to the student who best represents the spirit of the school. Naqvi later attended the Government[citation needed] Model Degree College (2003–2005) and then Punjab University (PUCIT 2006-2010) where he earned a bachelor's degree in computer science (honours). He later opted out to make his career in Pakistani electronic media.
